Just Perfect & Red Ribbons
After three years of writing and rewriting words, sections, and chapters, I published my debut novel, Just Perfect, in December 2014. It wasn't long after that its sequel, Red Ribbons, was born. As a sixteen-year old at the time, I could never have predicted the success the two novels were to have.

Laying out my own struggles with bullying, depression, anorexia, and an incessant fight for perfection and acceptance through the eyes of the protagonist, Christina, the novels take the reader on a difficult journey.

Christina knows she'll have to give it her everything to fight her way back to the surface and to get her life back on track; I think this struggle is something that resonates with many who choose to pick up the books. I hope it resonates with you, too.

Heart-wrenching tales of acceptance and denial, love and loss, mental illness and the road to recovery. Get your copies of Just Perfect and Red Ribbons here.

"Hanne's novel is definitely not a fairy tale or your typical happily-ever-after novel. It helped me understand more about the terrible things that people go through, as well as how people's minds can turn inexplicably against themselves."
- Valerie Flokstra, reviewer at jaBlog

"An enthralling read, written with tenderness for growing ups and recommended for all those who want to understand how it is to be - temporarily - affected by mental health sufferings."
- Veronique De Roeck, Psychologist, Lecturer Psychopathology, Research Associate Milestone-Transition Study
"This book is a must read for teens. I think a lot of times teens feel like they are alone in how they are feeling when really most teens share their feelings. I definitely recommend this book."
- Christy, Blogger, Christy's Cozy Corners

"If you have any problems with your mental state of mind, you should read this book. It may change your life!" - Romy van Ham, Goodreads reader
